I was invited to do a drawing demonstration in the galleries of National Museum Wales for the public event After Dark 19.2.2020. The museum’s taxidermy collection was used as an inspiration for drawing. I chose to draw a grey heron in ink and wash.
Since 2019, I’ve been making observational drawings and watercolours from specimens held in the vertebrate collections at Amgueddfa Cymru – National Museum Wales. I’m currently working from specimens of shore birds that are linked to the islands and cliffs of the Pembrokeshire coast.
